SYRUPS

Hyssop has been a cornerstone of the herbal medicine chest for centuries, and for good reason. It is a remarkable ally for all types of coughs—whether they are dry and irritating or heavy and congested—and this syrup is one of the simplest, most effective ways to keep its healing power ready in your pantry.

While you can certainly take it by the spoonful when you're feeling under the weather, I’ve found a much more effective method for deep relief. Try combining your dosage with a cup of hot water and sipping it slowly as a tea. The warmth helps the hyssop clear the airways even faster, providing a soothing, double-action treatment for the chest and throat.
