Lavender Marinade


Yes, you read that right!


Lavender is a fabulous addition to a marinade, and not just for flavour, it is a meat tenderiser too.


Make this at your next braai and see if your guests can guess the magic ingredient.


Use it for any meat, poulty or firm fish


Ingredients

6 English lavender flower stems

2 tsp grated orange peel

2 crushed garlic cloves

2 tsp honey

2 Tbsp olive oil

2 tsp fresh thyme


Instructions

Mix everything together and marinate meat for at least one hour before cooking
